Our Heritage, Our Future

Welcome to Mansfield Woodhouse Heritage Link

Discover the rich history of Mansfield Woodhouse, a village with roots that stretch back to Roman times. From ancient Roman villas to its industrial past in quarrying and coal mining, Mansfield Woodhouse has a story to tell, and we’re here to preserve it for generations to come.

Who we are

Mansfield Woodhouse Heritage Link is a community-driven project powered by volunteers, passionate about protecting and sharing the history of our village. As a sub-group of the Old Mansfield Woodhouse Society, we care for an extensive archive of photographs, documents, and artefacts, donated by local residents over the decades. Since 2013, we’ve worked to ensure this collection remains accessible to everyone.

What We Do

We don’t just preserve the past – we bring it to life. Through our public archive housed in the Mansfield Woodhouse Library, we offer a range of workshops, events, and digital resources designed to engage the local community with their shared heritage. Whether you’re a history buff, a student, or just curious about the past, there’s something here for you.
